Hi there,

We sometimes find that user's Notes files in the OES 2 sp2 NSS Home directory are locked after Notes 8 crashes and cannot be deleted via Windows Explorer but can by linux command line.

We ran lsof "list open files and see the following the FD column ###uw indicates the file is open for read/write and a portion of the file is locked (per the man lsof).

The user had logged out and no one else was accessing the directory. The lock typically goes away by itself in 15 - 25 minutes.

Any Thoughts?
cheers,
Kirk Maule
