I need clarification on how the above feature works . . .

We have a workstation that's been setup with a POP3
Internet Account. It's been working fine, seems to be
syncing correctly (downloading new messages into a
Mailbox folder, within the GroupWise Client), but is
now reporting "service not available" when trying to
send email, using the POP3 setup as the return address.

Am I correct in thinking the GroupWise Client will attempt
a POP3 connection (directly) to the Outgoing ISP server,
rather than sending through the GroupWise system?

[Reason for asking: we've just limited SMTP outgoing
traffic, on our Firewall, to only service our email servers--
and a couple workstations connecting to POP3 are now
getting this message.]
