Not with a bang but a whimper goes Novell.

However, it is interesting that no strategic bidders stepped forward,
especially for Novell's business selling a supported version of the
open-source Linux operating system. That could suggest that rivals don't
think much of the Linux business long term, perhaps a negative indicator for
dominant Linux player Red Hat.
