From the comments to the Wall Street Journal article entitled, "Novell's
Final Chapter as a Public Company":

"I think the net cash outlay by Attachmate is also reduced by Elliott
swapping its Novell equity for Attachmate equity....150 - 200 mill or so....

Looks like Attachmate may only be writing about a 500 million check.

And then it can probably immediately flip SuSE for that, bringing it to
zero...

Maybe can flip Platespin and they may get control of this thing for cash
income instead of outlay...

Pretty shady deal...
