Hi all: Until recently we had just three windows servers needed for our practice management software. Two where set up as domain controllers. WHen I set these up, I did not use the MS dns servers but modified our netware dns servers to provide all the functionality needed. This has worked well.

However, I have had to add a couple more Windows servers, two of which are in branch offices. I have these set up as read-only domain controllers and as such MS recommends they also have dns in the event of wan connection loss.

So now I am wondering if I should just move all dns services over to the Windows servers since AD depends so much on dns. I also wonder if this would improve performance. One thing I do see is slow browsing of Windows server shares.

Suggestions? Chris.
