Yesterday, one of our WAN links went down. Users at the remote site couldn't login to the DSfW domain although there is a DSfW server at that location.

We have installed 4 DSfW servers (OES2 SP3, upgraded from SP2) into an existing eDirectory tree, in part to provide redundancy at our remote Disaster Recovery location. The primary DNS/DSfW server is at our central location. Can anyone offer insight as to why the remote DSfW server failed to act as a backup domain controller?
