Hi all,

We are about to upgrade to ZCM11 from ZCM10, but need some advice on how to do it.

The problem is that our two current ZCM10 servers were for some reason installed as 32-bit SLES10 virtual machines. I think it would be best to run them on 64-bit SLES11 now, but how do I go about and migrate them in the safest and easiest way?

I have searched a little and found two suggestions:
  1. Moving the current installation to new hardware (ZCM: Moving the Primary Server | Novell User Communities).
  2. Adding new servers to the zone, make one of them the primary server and move the CA to it, and then remove the old servers from the zone (http://forums.novell.com/novell-prod...ws-server.html).

For the ZENworks database, we use Oracle on a separate server.

Any advice is much appreciated!
