I can't figure it out, it is quite likely that it can not be done.

We have a schedule for closing our books each month. Certain things have to be done before other things can be started. What this project head is trying to do is:

Set up a shared Calendar. Put tasks on that shared calendar, preferably to others, that everyone on the shared calendar can see, and the person to whom the task has been given can check it as completed.

We have gotten as far as creating a shared calendar, and he can post tasks for others, but they do not show up on the calendar, (just the task list,) or no-one else can mark them as completed.
