Does anyone know if you can restart NSS services on a Linux OES server
without rebooting? The script that loads NSS has the restart/stop
commented out. I'm mounting snapshot drives (from a third party
software) to do offsite backups. The script mounts the SAN snapshot,
rescans the bus, activates the pool and mounts the volumes. At the end
of the backup the script dismounts the volumes, deactivates the pool and
remove the SAN snapshots. The problem I have is that NSS won't release
the pool information without rebooting. When I run the script for the
next server to backup pool will not activate. I don't have the error
message handy but it seems that the problem is due to information on the
preceding Pool is being held in memory or a configuration file.
