Hi everyone,

I've just installed Vibe OnPrem to test for my organisation. On initial startup one java thread was using a large amount of CPU. When i straced the thread, i found that it was doing this constantly:

...
stat("/tmp/.com_ibm_tools_attach/_notifier", 0x7f3b743c3350) = -1 ENOENT (No such file or directory)
open("/tmp/.com_ibm_tools_attach/_notifier", O_WRONLY|O_CREAT|O_EXCL, 0644) = -1 EACCES (Permission denied)
getgid() = 1000
stat("/tmp/.com_ibm_tools_attach/_notifier", 0x7f3b743c3350) = -1 ENOENT (No such file or directory)
open("/tmp/.com_ibm_tools_attach/_notifier", O_WRONLY|O_CREAT|O_EXCL, 0644) = -1 EACCES (Permission denied)
getgid() = 1000
...

When i noticed the EACCES error, i chowned the entire directory to the vibe user, and was able to create the _notifier file, and the CPU usage calmed down a lot.

Why is it doing this? Will this happen again every time i reboot? Should i put in a cron job to run this chown periodically (say, every 5 minutes)?

Thanks,
Paul
