We have successfully implemented a simple workflow that has users from the organisation completing a simple form and submitting it. We now need to be able to generate a custom report that we can import into excel. The built-in activity / user reports are insufficient as we need to be able to include / choose which elements to include, etc. The data needs to be manipulated and 'crunched' in other applications. What am I missing here? Surely with all this ability to capture data and manipulate it in a workflow, there must be ways to report it in list format, export, print, etc??

From the documentation and my forum searches, it would appear there is no easy way to do this?! Please advise.
