We have quickfinder running on an OES Linux machine indexing two Netware 6.5 volumes which is working fine. We have started upgrading our workstations to Windows 7. We are using Internet Explorer 8 on both XP and W7.

The search of the volumes still works fine on Windows 7 and displays the results nicely, however the users can no longer open files directly from the links in the search results page as they could do in Windows XP. I have gone through all the settings in ie and cannot find anything that makes any difference. We get "Cannot find 'path to document'. Make sure the path or internet address is correct." errors. I am able to take the url that is dsiplayed on a Windows 7 machine when the error occurs and copy and paste to IE on a XP machine and it opens without issue there.

Google Chrome and Firefox do not work either, suggesting it's a security setting in W7, not some setting in the browser.

Has anyone else run into this problem and has anyone found a solution?
