We have a number of servers which are all based on a single image. So if there is ever a disaster it should be simple to restore a machine.

My idea is this:
  1. Rebuild the machine using a stardard template.
  2. Add the machine into a temp tree.
  3. Restore all the user data.
  4. Restore all the edirectory/novell data.
  5. Reboot the server and repair the **** out of the replica.

I am looking at backing up the following folders:

My question is which files/folders do I need to restore in order to insure that I can bring up the machine completely after a rebuild.
Should I backup the entire /var/opt/novell folder?
Am I missing something?
