I posted this in the DSFW forums but thought I would add it here too.

I have built a DSFW server for authentication and an OES server running Novell CIFS for data storage. Sometimes the clients can access the files fine and other times it asks for a Windows login but it will not take the username and password.
When it fails it writes the following to the cifs.log file over and over again.

Nov 9 20:19:57 sb-data01 CIFS[27823]: WARNING: AUTH: Authentication failed due to password mismatch for user cn=testuser.ou=School.cn=Users.dc=bernard.dc=com, Err :-1647

Nov 9 20:19:57 sb-data01 CIFS[27823]: WARNING: CODIR: SESNotLoggedIn: Failed to authenticate user: testuser from 172.16.1.174, nwErr: -1647, cifsErr: 0

Nov 9 20:19:57 sb-data01 CIFS[27823]: WARNING: AUTH: SessionSetup : Login Failed -nwLoginError is -1647, cifslogin err 0, dest ip :172.16.1.174

CIFS is using local eDirectory authentication. I followed the DSFWDude's YouTube video on the setup so it should right. This happens for the administrator user as well as other users.

Any ideas? Thanks
