I'm migrating from an OES2 server to a new OES2 server due to new hardware. The new server VM is up and running and I thought I'd migrate the data with rsync. Both the old server and new server are using NSS for the user data storage. I used the --perms switch with rsync to make sure the files on the new server would have the same file permissions as on the old server. However, every file that copes gives the error: "chown failed: Operation not permitted". I'm guessing I did something wrong on the install of the new server such that it doesn't know the same users that are on the original server. If that's true, which authentication method did I fail to install or failed to properly configure and can I add it after-the-fact or do I get to do the install over again?

Or, better yet, how *should* I migrate the data???
