Hi guys, needs some help here I will explain best i can:

Basically I have the ACU all automated and silent if an update is available upon login - Despite windows 7 UAC popping up to confirm which is solved if turned off.

I have created a batch file which can be ran from the login script, in the batch file it opens a notepad document stating " Updating Novell, please click yes when prompted" This comes maximised and grabs the users attention which will be needed so they agree to the user account control.

My problem is trying to write the login script, so far I can only get the batch file/notpad document to run whether there is an update or not.

I obviously only want the batch file to run ONLY if there is an update.

If there isnt - then i would not like the batchfile to run.

Heres my login script - I am a total noob when it comes to stuff like this. As you can see the novel box displays a message but the prob is its so small and prob wont be read , hence the need for the bat file to open the notepad doc.
