URL in emails using IP instead of DNS

When a customer receives an email from the Service Desk system for example:

ServiceDesk: Incident #100241 blah blah blah (Pending) - Created

The Incident Information has a hyper link for the Incident #:, but the hyper link is using the IP address of the server instead of the DNS name.

    Where do I change that?

    David.

Antw: URL in emails using IP instead of DNS

    Hi,

login as with supervisor privileges, go to the setup view, select the "setup" tab.
From there go to "privileges" and select the tab "System". The first entry is the "Host Address" which should be set to the right URL

Another idea is: Is your appliance configured correctly for DNS.

    kind regards

"The first entry is the "Host Address" which should be set to the right URL"

Was blank, I entered the correct URL and it works.

    Thank you.
