Dear all

A month ago I started a thread regarding a problem with the "Vodafone
Datacard" and the Novell VPN client

After speaking to a million and one different people it was identified the
standard Vodafone network setup for the datacard will not work with the
Novell VPN client (not all ports are available/configured etc). It is
possible to create a personalised APN, however, this has a setup cost as
follows:

Option 1:

Private APN IPsec
4200 pa
3000 one off connection charge
2 per month ontop of line rental

Includes hardware access point for Vodafone

Option 2:

Private APN "Hardwire"
6000 pa
3000 one off connection charge
2 per month ontop of line rental

Direct to Vodafone

There's no way I can justify this cost when I only have 2 datacards!!

My question is this: is there any way I can get Novell to speak to
Vodafone to allow the necessary ports on the "standard" Vodafone setup?
This isn't just for me, it's for all Novell users considering this as an
access option. What do I need to do to get the ball rolling?

(It's this lack of integration which sadly forces firms to look at other
alternatives).

Any advice appreciated.
