In OES2 the default typical syslog-ng entry in /var/log/messages as
under 60 characters once per hour

Sep 28 22:03:24 SLES1 syslog-ng[1640]: STATS: dropped 0

in OES11, it is now more like 800 characters

Mar 14 00:38:11 fs1 syslog-ng[2493]: Log statistics;
dropped='pipe(/dev/xconsole)=0', dropped='pipe(/dev/tty10)=0',
processed='center(queued)=1456', processed='center(received)=754',
processed='destination(messages)=625',
processed='destination(mailinfo)=2',
processed='destination(mailwarn)=0',
processed='destination(localmessages)=0',
processed='destination(newserr)=0', processed='destination(mailerr)=0',
processed='destination(netmgm)=0', processed='destination(warn)=248',
processed='destination(console)=226', processed='destination(null)=2',
processed='destination(mail)=2', processed='destination(xconsole)=226',
processed='destination(firewall)=123',
processed='destination(acpid)=2', processed='destination(newscrit)=0',
processed='destination(newsnotice)=0', processed='source(src)=754'

I don't see anything in /etc/syslog-ng/syslog-ng.conf that appears to
affect this.
Anyone have any ideas of how to stop this excess from showing up? And
then how to manually have it report such details only when I need it.
