OES2sp3 - SLES10sp3 - eDir 8.8sp6
Clients are Windows XP and Windows 7

I am running Samba on four of these servers.

The following error appears in the /var/log/messages file from various Workstations.

We can reproduce the error if we (as Administrators) manually map a drive to the particular Volume. However, we have end user computers logging the error as well. They do not have manual drive mappings. They are not using samba shares either.

In the /etc/samba/smb.conf file if we change [GLOBAL] usershare allow guests=no then the errors are not logged.

These errors are filling up our messages log which is ok I suppose as the log rolls.

Does anyone know what causes this. (I have edited proprietary information).
