Hi folks,

I thought I was seeing things, but this appears to be reproducible across our entire estate...

wmfsr001:~ # rug lu -t patch 2>&1 | egrep -i '(sched|jan|7885|edirect)'
OES2-SP3-Updates | oes2sp3-edirectory-886-patch5 | 7966-0 | recommended | Needed
wmfsr001:~ # rug lu -t patch

Catalog | Name | Version | Category | Status
-------------------+--------------------------------------------+---------+-------------+-------
OES2-SP3-Updates | oes2sp3-edirectory-886-patch5 | 7966-0 | recommended | Needed
OES2-SP3-Updates | oes2sp3-January-2012-Scheduled-Maintenance | 7885-0 | recommended | Needed
SLES10-SP4-Updates | slesp4-apache2-201202 | 7972-0 | security | Needed
<fluff snipped>

Basically, rug lu -t patch fails to show scheduled maintenance (and maybe other) patches when it's piped through grep, egrep, sed, awk, ssh, dsh, etc

I use dsh extensively to manage our estate, and both dsh and ssh fail to show scheduled maintenance patches. As above, I've redirected stderr to stdout 'just in case', but that didn't fix it either.

What am I doing wrong?

Kyle
