Single primary server environment. Primary server is ZCM 10.3 on SLES 10 SP4 32-bit as a VMware VM. Need to upgrade to ZENworks 11 SP2. It seems like this would be a good time to get on SLES 11 SP2 as well. Also seems like it would be a good time to get on a 64-bit OS, although that is probably not dictated by performance requirements. I know I can do an in-place upgrade of both SLES and ZENworks, but again, I'd like to get on a 64-bit OS. I've thought about doing a migration to a new VM, but it sounds like that can get kind of involved, and I don't know what steps would be involved here. It also appears that the ZENworks Virtual Appliance migration process might take care of some of these migration tasks for you. I find it dumb that you can't update the OS or VMware Tools in the virtual appliance, so that hasn't been my preferred route either, although it could work.

I don't really have alot of info on any of these things. Can someone point me in the right direction?
