applies to: people who don't want to share their calendars to the www,
Linux, WebAccess and Calendar Publishing Host on the same machine.

This is a very short and simple way when you want to restrict access to published calendars from wan but only allow access from lan.

1. Open /etc/apache2/conf.d/gwcal.conf (symbolic link to /etc/opt/novell/groupwise/calhost/gwcal.cong)

2. Change section <Location "/gwcal"> to the following

<Location "/gwcal">
Order Deny,Allow
Deny from all
Allow from x.x.x.0/24

x.x.x.0 your individual lan subnet.
24 your subnet mask 24=

3. save
4. restart apache: rcapache2 restart
5. Test: http(s)://yourdomain.com/gwcal -> Access forbidden (403)
6. Test: http://yourlocalip/gwcal -> see your published calendars

Have fun
