We have started using Zenworks 11 on our Windows 7 laptops and have hit a serious 'deal breaking' issue, which I cant believe doesn't have a solution (I cant find it)

When people are offline or connected to the corporate network they can login to Zenworks 11 directly or with a cached login and all is well, but as soon as they connect to a home network, Zenworks 11 keeps trying to connect and also loses the cached info. This means they lose access to the applications

We have assigned applications to the users, not devices. Its not just the apps, due to waiting for timeouts etc it can take ages for the user to login.

Is there a solution to this issue so that when users are offline or not on the corporate network they used cached information and can get through Zenworks quickly and so that it functions properly (i.e cached / offline mode)
