We recently upgraded to ZCM 11.3. From the documentation, we had already created a backup job in Sybase SQL version 12 with the following:

CREATE EVENT ZENDBbackup

SCHEDULE

START TIME '8:00 PM' EVERY 24 HOURS

HANDLER

BEGIN

BACKUP DATABASE DIRECTORY ‘/ourdbbackupmountedlocation/’

TRANSACTION LOG TRUNCATE

END;

This has been working fine for our zenworks db but now we also have the audit database that we would like to keep backed up. Apparently the above does not "grab" the audit db even though it lives in the same directory as our zenworks db. I attempted to create a new job:

CREATE EVENT AUDITDBbackup

SCHEDULE

START TIME '9:00 PM' EVERY 24 HOURS

HANDLER

BEGIN

BACKUP DATABASE DIRECTORY ‘/ourdbbackupmountedlocation/’

TRANSACTION LOG TRUNCATE

END;

When 9:00 hit, the server became unresponsive and we had to reboot it to get it back up and running. I've dropped the AUDITDBbackup statement so that won't happen again, but still would like to get the audit db backed up daily. If it's not apparent, I am NOT a Sybase SQL db master........Anyone out there know how to accomplish getting the audit db to back up through a SQL statement? Proper syntax etc?

TIA!
