I have basically the same problem as in this 10-year-old thread: https://forums.novell.com/showthread...ferent-subnets. I need to define the same DHCP client with static mapping in two different subnets. As the original poster, I created the manual IP address in each subnet with the same MAC. I have tried the following settings for "Mobile user" in DHCP server properties:

1. Allow Mobile User but Delete previously Assigned Address. This matches the experience of the original poster: DHCP client does not get an address and server gives error message:

Code:
old pIP addr: 172.26.15.9 is MANUAL cannot be deleted.
      AMAGet() exit err:24, subnet:192.168.117.0, addr:0.0.0.0
      2014/08/29 11:36:37  <DHCPDISCOVER> packet received from client <5C:26:A:8:C6:5C>.
      2014/08/29 11:36:37 Error code = 24 after DHCPSRVR cache has been queried for client <5C:26:A:8:C6:5C>.
2. Allow Mobile User but do not Delete previously Assigned Address. This worked for the original poster, but for me it fails - DHCP client times out and server records the following message:

Code:
2014/08/29 11:52:30  <DHCPDISCOVER> packet received from client <5C:26:A:8:C6:5C>.
      2014/08/29 11:52:30 DHCP Warning: This client <5C:26:A:8:C6:5C> has already been assigned other IP address, duplication is not allowed.
This looks more like what I would expect with "No mobile user allowed" setting, but I have double-checked that it is set to "Allow Mobile user but do not Delete previously Assigned Address".

Where my situation differs from the original poster is that while they have separate DHCP server for each subnet, I am servicing all subnets from the same DHCP server.

The OS is Netware 6.5 SP8.

Should what I attempt to do be possible, or do I need a separate DHCP server for each subnet?
