We use ZCM 11.2.4 in an eDirectory environment. I have two user sources setup in ZCM: two eDirectory servers (OES 11.1) running LDAP which each have a replica of every partition in our tree. eDirectory occasionally crashes on one server or the other. When this happens, ZCM does not switch to the working server for LDAP user lookups. Thus, DLU and other things stop working, which is a huge problem for us.

I think the reason that failover does not occur is probably because nldap is still running, although it is unable to pass along any useful information once ndsd is dead. Any suggestions on how to force failover to occur?
