We've been trying to plan the upgrade from 11.2.4 to 11.3. I think that the company that helped us with our original install may have steered us wrong in the past though. We have our primary servers and database server at our data center. We then have virtual appliance servers at each remote site (on 100Mbps links). I think we didn't realize that virtual appliance servers each are considered primary servers and not satellites. All they really do is hold local copies of bundles and allow for imaging on-site without hitting our WAN links. It seems they would be better off as satellites? In that case, my plan would be to decommission them, upgrade the primary servers and database, then create new satellite servers at each site. Does that sound like a reasonable plan?
