Okay in eDir, there's an "initials" attribute for Middle Initial
(basically). I believe this is set at only 8 characters or something.
So due to that fact, we created an aux class and an aux attribute for:
middleName (where it can go up to 255 or whatever characters)

We can deal with iManager or UserApp in terms of getting the Middle
Name populated (ie, forcing our admins to create users and put that
information in)

However, I'm looking for ideas on how to then take Middle Name and
basically, if it's there, lop off everything AFTER the first character,
and put that value into the "initials" attribute in upper case (ie,
force it upper case in case someone boo-boos)

I'm thinking perhaps command policy in a loopback driver?

The opinions expressed are my own.
