So the way it works is you specify a kmo= value (a cert name, minus
space dash space servername of the eDir object) and the RL (AD driver)
has a copy of the tree CA's public key that signed the kmo= cert.

So, unless your CA expired, you should ask the RL people to revert to
the previous file, unless they are identical. (Your wording would
suggest otherwise).

Logs are not useful, though they look like they should be, right? Alas,
not to be.

You want dstrace. Regardless, can the server running the engine
resolve: rad02.uas-remote.ox.ac.uk and connect on port 8190 (Default,
whatever it really is if you have changed it?)
