We have a need to maintain unique usernames in our environment. After
an employee leaves the company and the user account is deleted, we want
to prevent this username from be assigned to a new employee. We do not
want to maintain all retired usernames in our Identity Vault. We would
prefer to keep these usernames in a SQL database that can be queried
before new accounts are created in our Identity Vault. The complication
is that we have an automated feed from our HR system that creates new
employee accounts using a delimited text driver. Is there a clean way
to have the delimited text driver call a JDBC driver that can query a
SQL database, receive a value of a unique username(CN), and also have
that newly assigned username added to the SQL database?

If there is a better method to accomplish the goal of maintaining unique
usernames, we would be interested in those ideas.
