    Driver´s jobs hangs


    Hi all,

    I have some problems to manage the driver´s job.

    I am working with
    IDM 4.0.1
    iManager 2.7.4
    plugins Novell Identity Manager 10.7.20110406 Novell Identity Manager
    Plug-ins for IDM 4.0.1
    Designer Version: 4.0.1 Auto Update Build id: 20111202

    When I want to see the driver´s job:

    - on iManager the iManager hangs
    - with dxcmd, it hangs and I need to do CTRL+C

    When I delete the job and deploy from Designer, it says "Waiting for the
    Job named 'Job1" to replicate to server Server A" and hangs there.


    Any idea?

    1. When you authenticate with iManager, are you specifying the IP
    address (or fully qualified address) of the IDM server in the last
    field? Or are you specifying the tree name?

    2. Do you have eDirectory servers in your tree that don't have IDM
    installed?

    3. Have you applied any engine patches on top of the base IDM 4.0.1?
    Are you running at the latest engine patch level 4.0.1 engine patch 2?

    4. Have you tried with a copy of Designer 4.0.2?

    5. Do you have any servers in your driverset that run an older version
    of IDM?

    Essentially, what I'm suggesting is that you make sure you are sending
    your requests directly to a server that's associated with the IDM
    driver set which contains the job.

    Hi Alex, thanks for the answer.

    1- In the login page i specify the IP address.

    2- No, there are two eDirectory servers in the tree, both with IDM
    installed.

    3- No, both servers are running in 4.0.1.0 AE.

    4- No, we always work with the last version of Designer 4.0.1.

    5- No, both servers runs the same version.

    Have you tried applying IDM 4.0.1 Engine & Remote Loader Patch 2a ?

    Designer 4.0.2 is backwards compatible with IDM 4.0.1 (4.0.2 specific
    features aren't enabled when it detects a 4.0.1 engine)

    > 5- No, both servers runs the same version.
