Been looking at the docs for the JDBC driver.

I'm evaluating use for a MS SQL server application.

I set up a test DB and driver connection using the Microsoft SQL 2008R2
JDBC driver. Seemed to work fine.

After reviewing the docs more, it seems the Microsoft 3rd party driver
is "not recommended". Not really sure why.

Also I don't see a real option for using MSSQL here - jTDS supports
MSSQL, but it doesn't do views or stored procedures - which isn't

Can anyone provide some insight here? Is the IDM driver 4.02 doc set
"wrong"? Why wouldn't a MSSQL driver from Microsoft be "recommended"?
I'm worried that if we use this Microsoft driver, NetIQ support will be
less helpful.

Perhaps I'm missing something?
