    eDirectory 8.8.7 patch

Noted that eDirectory 8.8.7 patch 2 is a security release. No patch was
released for eDirectory 8.8.6 with no immediate plans to go to 8.8.7,
what of the following is the case?

    1. 8.8.6.5 does not have the security issues, so no patches needed.
    2. 8.8.6.5 does have the same security issues, patching to 8.7.7 is
    recommended

    Maybe to some extent but...

You mean 8.8 SP7, but yes, this one primarily. As SP7 is the current
support/service pack new fixes are added to it rather than to all other
SPs before it. I believe there is an exception to this rule for OES
versions that cannot get to SP7, but not-yet released afaik.

    Good luck.

If this is the one I think it is, upgrading and patching is highly
    recommended.

    Thanks for the answers.

Have patched all test instances with no problems, change request has
    been done internally.
