I am relatively new to eDirectory administration and I have been asked a
question by a Developer that I cannot answer. I'm hoping provide
guidance. The following is from the Developer:

I AM WORKING ON A DEFECT TO SET THE EXPIRATION TIME OF THE TEMPORARY
PASSWORD GENERATED USING THE APPLICATION TO (48 HRS + CURRENT TIME).
WHEN I MADE THE NECESSARY CODE CHANGE IN MY LOCAL MACHINE, I SEE THAT
ALTHOUGH (48 HRS + THE CURRENT TIME) IS SET IN THE APPLICATION CODE AS
THE EXPIRATION TIME, THE LDAP DIRECTORY SETS THE TEMPORARY PASSWORD
EXPIRATION TIME TO (5 HRS + THE CURRENT TIME).
- IS THERE ANY SETTING NEEDED TO BE MADE ON THE LDAP DIRECTORY SIDE TO
ALLOW THE APPLICATION TO SET THE EXPIRATION TIME FOR THE TEMPORARY
PASSWORD?
- CAN THE EXPIRATION TIME FOR THE TEMPORARY PASSWORD BE SET BY THE LDAP
DIRECTORY ITSELF TO 48 HRS WITHOUT CHANGING THE APPLICATION CODE?

Your assistance is very much appreciated.

Thank you.
Howard C.
