The "eDirectory 8.8 SP7 Patch 5" patch for OES11 SP1 has not been
available very long (I think less then 24hours), but Novell has decided
to pull the patch.

This patch may introduce an NDSD crash in certain environments when an
LDAP client sends a malformed or empty GUID request.

This was first observed in some OES11 SP2 environments, for which we have
a PTF available and a public solution is work-in-progress.
With the "eDirectory 8.8 SP7 Patch 5" for OES11 SP1 the same problem may
also be introduced on OES11 SP1.

Since the patch has been pulled, please do remember to take necessary
action for any other additional patch delivery mechanisms you may use
(such as SMT, ZCM or SUSE Manager...), so that you may not accidentally
still deploy the patch in your environment and still run into the
problem !!

We have a fix available and are already working on re-releasing a proper
"eDirectory 8.8 SP7 Patch 5" for OES11 SP1.
We are al;so working on delivering a Hotpatch for OES11 SP2 shortly.

I am terribly sorry for any inconvenience this issue may cause you.
