Hello

Secenario:

I've 2 Linux Servers SLES11 SP2 with eDirectory 8.8.7 Binary Version
20701.48 and on one server the IDM 4.0.2 is installed with a driverset.
I've on both servers 2 Partions ([Root] and the driverset.system) one
Server is master and the other has a R/W Partion.
I made a backup with dsbk:

Configure DSBK:
- Create a file dsbk.conf in /etc.
- Create a temporary file. /tmp/dsbk.tmp.
- Specify the location of the temporary file created in the
previous step in the /etc/dsbk.conf file.
- dsbk setconfig -L -T -r /idms/backup/
Made a backup with DSBK:
- dsbk backup -b -f /idms/backup/fb1.bak -l /idms/backup/fb1.log -t
-w -e novell

Now I setup a new machine for the restore with SLES 11SP2 and eDirectory
8.8.7 and IDM 4.0.2.
The IP-address and the server name are same configuration.

Configure DSBK:
- Create a file dsbk.conf in /etc.
- Create a temporary file. /tmp/dsbk.tmp.
- Specify the location of the temporary file created in the
previous step in the /etc/dsbk.conf file.

I copied the Data to /idms/restore
Destroyed the Tree and created a dummy-Tree:
- ndsconfig new -t dummy_bkp_tree -n novell -a admin.novell -w novell

And now the restore

First Check to restore the nici Key:
- dsbk restore -f /idms/restore/fb1.bak -l /idms/restore/restore.log
-e novell
- rcndsd restart

The restore.log:
|==================DSBackup Log: Restore================|
Log file name: /idms/restore/restore.log
Restore started: 2014-6-11'T18:1:4
Restore file name: /idms/restore/fb1.bak
Restoring file /var/opt/novell/eDirectory/data/dsnici.bak
NICI RESTORE: "NICI Files have been Restored Successfully"
Completion time 00:00:00
Restore completed successfully

Restore the Database:
- dsbk restore -f /idms/restore/fb1.bak -l /idms/restore/restore.log
-d /idms/restore/nds.rfl/ -r -a -e novell -o

The restore.log:

I search for the problem and I found:

http://tinyurl.com/olzzxyx
Restore gives -6020 error

If you have roll forward logs in a default location, while performing
Restore operation using DSBK or eMBox Client, you will get -6020 error.
To avoid this error, you need to give -s switch in the restore command.
comment on this topic

But is the same.

Have anybody an idea what could solve this problem ?

Arno
