Assuming I understand your need (to make the database larger for
Sentinel 6.1) the easiest way to do what you are proposing is to simply
add more data files to the appropriate tablespace. You can move from
one machine to another if you'd like, but that's all done however the
DBA feels is best. It may be simply moving files from one server to
another, and then telling the new server to use them for the same
database name and tablespaces, but that may be overly simplistic as
well. The DBA will know best; there is not a lot of magic behind
Sentinel's connection; it is simply a JDBC connection with the database
name 'ESEC' by default, the user esecapp, and the password specified at
the time of installation (or anytime after that if/when it was changed).
