I've been trying without any success to bind to eDirectory using SSL from
a .NET application.

I know that the server is working because LDAPEditor is able to connect
and authenticate over SSL. LDAPEditor even lets me search the directory,
so I know it's working.

My attempts so far have included (but are not limited to):

- Using the Novell C# LDAP Libraries (Novell.Directory.LDAP) I get the
BER.Encoding error reported elsewhere (error code 91).

- Using .NET 1.1 Directory Services I get 'server not operational'.

- Using .NET 2.0 LDAP I get 'server not operational'.

- Using a 3rd party LDAP library for .NET (.NET LDAP) I get 'Server Down'.

All of my settings (port #, server address, etc..) are the same as in
LDAPEdit, and I can connect fine without SSL.

Has anybody been able to bind to eDirectory using SSL from a .NET
application? If so, how? Can someone at Novell please comment on
this?

Thank you,
Will Hickie
