Trying to migrate a two node clustered Windows Server 2003 box. I was
able to test migrate one of the nodes about 9 months ago with no issue.
I suspect at this point that the reason I can't get this migration to go
is because one node is pretty well up to date on .Net updates where the
current node is missing 20+ .Net updates. However, currently migration
gets to the point of trying to transfer data, stays at 1% for around 5
minutes, and fails with an error "Unable to read with block based VSS
error: 1". I've tried trapping the log files on both the Migrate server
as well as the source and have come up empty handed with one exception,
which the log is posted below. During the "1% stall" period the
active.log on the source continually resets to empty. On the off chance
I can catch it at 1k in size the contents are simply "</entry>". No more
no less. Below is the excerpt from the log prior to the stall. Maybe
someone here is can make something from it and provide guidance.
