    Accessing imap folders

Trying to get content from Gmail imap folders under Groupwise 2014 to be fully accessible under GroupWise inbox. Right now, the external email account content comes in under isolated imap folder inbox. Can't seem to create rules to automatically intercept imap email and put into general folders. Under WebAccess you can see imap content in the "unopened items" folder. But Smartphone users can't see imap imported content when syncing with Mobility Service. Kind a defeats the utility of marketing Groupwise as a one stop clearing house for external email accounts. ... Just posting this in hopes that someone has at least a simple work around to get rules to see the imap folder content and simply dump it into main mailbox.

The question here is of where is IMAP inbox actually stored. If I recall
correctly, this is on your local system where the POA can't get at it to
run the rules against. Can you actually open those IMAP messages within
WebAccess? Do you see the IMAP inbox when you log into GW on another
    system?

Given the point that the IMAP messages may not get to the POA, this is not
surprising. Adding multiple accounts to smartphones is easy, I have 11 on
my Blackberry Q10 currently and that is rather the model for those mobile
devices. I love not having any notifications for all the vendor 'spam'
    that I need to collect.

I agree, but I don't recall seeing that marketing? I do recall some older
references to having your desktop interface function that way, but not the
whole system. I would love it if you could point me to where you saw that
    marketing message.

Always a good approach to get the conversation going, sorry I was too busy
to jump in earlier. I wonder if running a client in caching mode might be
able to see the IMAP side well enough to run rules against it.
I see that Thunderbird appears to be able to move messages between
accounts, so having an instance running somewhere is an option as a work
around for now while we explore this issue.

    Re: Accessing imap folders

I think you are right about IMAP folders being somewhat isolated. BUT, the messages (not the folders) indeed show up via webaccess in the "unopened items" folder, so Groupwise must see and be able to manipulate them. For example you can manually move them from "unopened items" to other folders. Hence what can be done manually ought to be able to be done via a rule. At least one would think so. ... As to marketing, I think it was version 8 or earlier, that discussed the idea of bringing all types of email accounts inside of Groupwise
