In eDirectory with a password policy set to use Microsoft complexity, I
can set a password as "password 123" (password space 123). It meets 3 of
the 4 character set requirements.

In active directory with password complexity turned on that same
password is not valid. However, "Password 123" is (Password space 123).

Is Microsoft treating space as an alphanumeric character? Is that what
is going on here?

If I wanted to exclude space from being used in a password, how could I
accomplish that? Should it be added in the excluded password list in the
policy? I am also having issue with trailing space in another connected
