Desktop OS: Win7 Enterprise SP1 with Novell Client 2 SP4 (IR1)
Server OS: OES11 SP2

This problem has been around for a while (i.e., older versions of the Client) so I am not sure if it is the client or server, but it is more regular now that all clients are at the same version. If one user has a file on a network (mapped) drive open and a second user tries to open the same file, he receives an "Access Denied" message. In the past, the second user would get the option to open the file in read-only mode.

Any ideas as to what could be causing this or where to look for more insight as to the root cause of the problem?
