Our users have quite often problems writing files to their home directories;
I then see lines like this in cifs.log:

Apr 5 16:37:51 fs1 CIFS[15726]: ERROR: SMB: cifs failed to write X , file
handle : 65 system error 28
Apr 5 16:37:51 fs1 CIFS[15726]: ERROR: CODIR: Failed to write into file
/media/nss/HOME/user/fmuelle/P_Praktikum.zip, system error 28
Apr 5 16:37:51 fs1 CIFS[15726]: ERROR: SMB: System error code : 28 CIFS
error code : 1

My question is: were can I find information what system error 28 and CIFS
error 1 mean? I did not find anything..

We have some "special" environment here: home directories are mounted on
Linux, but users are using a Windows VM and accessing the mounted volume
through shared folders of VMware Player. I wonder if the error numbers can
tell me something about what exactly goes wrong...

Thanks,
Mirko
