Hello,

are files which are accessed through the NCP-Protocol (novell-client/oes client) less vulnerable to viruses and ransomware just because they are accessed through NCP or is this irrelevant for a ransomware which has infected the desktop. I'm not sure what the (programmatic) view of a virus on a network share would be and if it can also be accessed if mounted through the novell client.

More generally asked, are there other security concerns for NOT migrating NCP-accessed Data to a CIFS-based world (AD)?

thank you,
Hugo
