Hello,

I have just upgraded from IDM 4.5.3 to IDM 4.5.5.

After upgrading, I have some problems with the DNLookup fields.

In IDM 4.5.3 I could do the following:

If i wanted to clear the field:

Code:
--------------------
field.setValues("");
--------------------

That worked fine, but now I get this error in IE and Chrome:

Code:
--------------------
TypeError: Unable to get property 'setValue' of undefined or null reference
--------------------

And this error in Firefox:

Code:
--------------------
TypeError: ctr is undefined.
--------------------

How would I go about clearing the field in IDM 4.5.5? A quick fix is
this:

Code:
--------------------
try
{
field.setValues("");
} catch (err){}
--------------------

Seems like it solves the problem.

But, now the weirdest part:

In IDM 4.5.3 I could set the value like so:

Code:
--------------------
field.setValues(userDN);
--------------------

userDN would be a variable containing for example:
cn=user123,ou=users,ou=entities,ou=idv,o=top,user1 23

As you can see, with both CN and CN, as the format is from a query
returned by a search.

In IE and Chrome this results in:

Code:
--------------------
TypeError: Unable to get property 'setValue' of undefined or null reference
--------------------

And in Firefox:

Code:
--------------------
TypeError: ctr is undefined
--------------------

Then I have tried where the userDN variable only has the DN:
cn=user123,ou=users,ou=entities,ou=idv,o=top

Same issue.

I have looked in the patch update, and I found this:

> NetIQ Identity Manager includes software fixes that resolve several
> previous issues in the identity applications.
>
> Unable to Set Value with form.setValues on a Field with DNLookup Control
> Type

Which I find a bit funny, since it is the opposite of what I am
experiencing.

Any idea what is going on here?

Thanks in advance,

Jacob.
