Trouble Copying From NSS Share on Client 2 SP4 IR3+

I seem to be unable to copy large folders from a mapped net share to the hard drive once I install/upgrade to OES Client 2 SP4 (IR3) or later. It seems to happen on Windows 7 and 10. I don't have any Win8/8.1 machines to try it on. As soon as I roll back to IR2 where it still shows the red N and not the updated icon, I'm able to copy without any trouble. The message I get when it fails on the newer clients is

<drive lettter>: is not accessible. The network path was not found.

An unexpected error is keeping your from copying the file. If you continue to
receive this error, you can use the error code to search for help wiht this problem.

Error 0x80070032: The request is not supported.

Sometimes I see error 0x800703EE: The volume for a file has been externally altered so that the opened file is no longer valid.

Is there some new settings that need to be tweaked in the IR3+ client that I'm not aware of that would be causing this?
