Hello,
I've got two primary servers: ZCMP1 and ZCMP2 (both running SLES 11.3, ZCM 11.3.2). Both of them has its own content on an old SAN. I want to move both contents (content1 and content2) from the old SAN to the new SAN. I wander how to do it the best way.
content1 = 661 G (including 415 G images)
content2 = 229 G (no images)
Case 1:
1. Stop all ZENworks Services on ZCMP1 plus ZCMP2.
2. Copy the content1 of ZCMP1 from the old SAN to the new SAN.
3. Copy the content2 of ZCMP2 from the old SAN to the new SAN.
4. Start all ZENworks Services on ZCMP1 plus ZCMP2.
OR Case2:
1. Stop all ZENworks Services on ZCMP1 plus ZCMP2.
2. Copy the content1 of ZCMP1 from the old SAN to the new SAN.
3. Mount the new volume on the new SAN to ZCMP2.
4. Start all ZENworks Services on ZCMP1 plus ZCMP2.
5. Waiting until the content1 from ZCMP1 is replicated to the new Volume. So content2 is generated from the replication. Is there a trigger I have to push starting the replication?
Has anybody done this kind of stuff already and could give me an advice, please?
