Hi,

We have upgraded some of our file servers to OES 2015 SP1. We do not have NSS for AD installed.

When connected to the server via CIFS, we launch a msaccess database application and get a message of "Could not save; currently locked by another user". No other user has the file open at the time. At this point the DB is corrupt and we need to restore the file. When connected to the server via NCP, the application opens fine. If the msaccess version is 2007, we can add the directory as a trusted location and the application opens fine. If the msaccess version is 2013, the file will corrupt whether we add the trusted location or not.

We have recreated the issue in our test environment and changed the server dialect from SMB2 to SMB, and that did not help either.

As a test, we copied the file to a file server that has not been upgraded yet (OES11 SP3) and the application opens fine without the trusted location and connected via CIFS.

Has anybody else run into anything like this?

thanks
Chris
