We're deploying the 2017u1 agent update to our Windows clients. Many are updating fine, but we have quite a few at "Completed with errors" with the message "There was an error while installing package CASA.msi. MSI return code: -1. Check the system-update.log on the device for details." The line in system-update.log is...

"[ERROR] [11/20/2017 12:59:52.310] [10700] [ZENUpdater] [] [SYSTEM] [SystemUpdate] [MSI_INSTALL_ERROR] [ERROR] [CASA.msi,-1] [] [] [ZENworks]".

The technician application shows all agent bits updated except the agent itself, which is left at v11.4.x. Programs & Features shows that zenworks is up to date, as is CASA Authentication Token Client, however CASA is still at v1.7.1875 (should be 1.7.1923). Interestingly, the CASA.msi.log file shows the following line...

"MSI (s) (38:D0) [13:00:24:214]: Windows Installer installed the product. Product Name: CASA. Product Version: 1.7.1923. Product Language: 1033. Manufacturer: Novell. Installation success or error status: 0."

So, the CASA installer thinks it installed OK and the Zenworks agent updater thinks the CASA install failed. Even so, all bits were updated except CASA and the Agent itself. Any idea if the CASA install weirdness is related to the Agent not getting updated? Zenworks appears to work properly on these stations in spite of the old versions of CASA and the Agent, but it is far slower than it should be.

Any thoughts on resolving these that "Completed with errors"?
